GMR Consulting has been engaged by an organisation in the Energy Sector to assist it in achieving compliance with the impending GDPR Regulations. The regulations govern how personal data is gathered, processed, stored and disposed of. The project will involve an audit of systems and processes, data security in each location, Data Protection awareness training, implementing IT Policies, (including a GDPR specific DP Policy), and re-writing Privacy Notices to bring them into line with the new rules. An Action Plan will then be developed and implemented, with remedial steps defined to address any shortcomings uncovered, and to ensure ongoing compliance.
